What it Fees Like to be Alive in Oregon's "Alps" – A Life-Changing Backpacking Adventure

💥There’s something really special about the Wallowas. It’s one of the few places within the state of Oregon where you can truly find solitude. A place of rugged granite peaks, glacially carved valleys, and meadows filled with wildflowers. Some call this place the Alps of Oregon, others call it one of the 7 wonders. For us and the many that visit, our hearts remain; and we call it home 🏔🌺🐐

📍🦅 The Eagle Cap Wilderness is located within the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest and is the heart of the Wallowa Mountains. Truly a backpacker’s paradise, this Wilderness is vast and offers over 500 miles of trails with opportunities to see a diversity of flora and fauna. Winter months here are brutal, though summer months offer a unique experience to explore the many reaches of the Wallowas and to hone in on your outdoor recreation skills 🎣🏕🥾
